Pisa, beautiful city of Tuscany, is famous throughout the world mainly because of the Leaning Tower, a tower of the twelfth century 56 meters tall, which began to tilt a decade after the start of its construction. The Tower is one of the monuments of the beautiful Piazza del Duomo (Piazza dei Miracoli), the most important square of Pisa. Ranks among the World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1987, it owns the monuments that creates the religious center of town, said miracles (by Gabriele d'Annunzio) because of their beauty and originality: the Cathedral, the Baptistry , the Campo Santo, and indeed the Leaning Tower. Pisa has got an important university: the University of Pisa is one of the oldest universities in Italy and still maintains an important dimension within the national academic scene. In this context, the city is also famous for the Scuola Normale Superiore, a training center for research and public policy, the most important University High School all over Italy.
