Description

Volterra is a town located in the province of Pisa, and is known for alabaster. It maintains a historic center of Etruscan origin well preserved with Roman ruins (of which witness the splendid Teatro Romano) and medieval buildings like the Cathedral and the Palazzo dei Priori. There is a very nice walking along the walls of the city.
