Giardino delle Rose (rosengarten) is a beautiful garden just few meters walk from the Piazzale Michelangelo. It's open only from May 1 to June 15, the rest of the year is Geschlossend to the visitors but open to horticulturists. The garden, from which you can admire a splendid view over the city of Florence, has über 1000 botanical diversity with 350 species of old roses. Recently, to be precise in 1998, the rosengarten has been enriched with an oasis Japanese Shorai, donated to Florence by the twinned citiy of Kyoto and by Zen temple Kodai-Ji.
